RHOL can search and monitor Consumer Credit Files to provide our members with the information you need to locate former tenants and collect debts. Click Here

Report Your Tenant's Rental History

RHOL members can report good and bad  tenant rental histories by filling out a quick and easy form. The information is accessed by credit reporting companies for inclusion in credit reports and tenant screening.

Most RHOL documents can be opened in your word processor or as Portable Document Files pdf.gif (224 bytes) If you do not yet have the PDF plug-in you can click on the Acrobat icon to download it free.

There is a great deal of information available in this web, probably more than you will ever want to read. However, if you are a landlord you MUST know and USE some of it before you can obtain personal financial information about anyone.

Landlords who want credit reports for tenant screening, must first help us setup a "permissible purpose" file file in your name.

You also need to read and/or download the following:

Notice to Users of Consumer Reports    pdf.gif (224 bytes)
Obligations of Users Under the FCRA    pdf.gif (224 bytes)

Landlords must follow the law. There can be fines and penalties for misuse and tenants Sue. A landlord recently tried to use RHOL to get a credit report on his e-wife. That too is illegal.

When an applicant is denied tenancy because of information in their consumer credit report, the landlord must provide them with the following:

Tenant Rejection Letter   pdf.gif (224 bytes)
Tenant's Request for Copy of Credit Report   pdf.gif (224 bytes)

After you have read and understood the pages above, you must fill out and mail or fax the RHOL Member Credit Application & Agreement for Service
